CERTIFICATION P2M (Programm and Project Management)

P2M in brief:

1. P2M is a Japanese knowledge system and standard presented in the form of “Guidelines for the Management of Innovative Projects and Enterprise Programs”. The P2M standard was published in November 2001 by the Japan Engineering Development Association (ENAA), and is now supported by the Japan Project Managers Association (PMAJ). This standard has concentrated the lessons of Japanese companies since 1980 and has formed a methodology for managing value in the innovative development of companies.
2. The Japanese Project Management Association (PMAJ) has established a P2M standard for project manager certification. The Ukrainian Project Management Association is the only licensed center for certification of project managers in the CIS based on the P2M methodology.
3. Competence in P2M describes the systematic practical abilities of project and program managers based on the P2M knowledge system, practical experience and personal qualities, attitudes and ethics, which are necessary in the management of innovative projects and programs. Formation of competence is the process of integrating the elements of knowledge, experience, personal and behavioral qualities of project and program managers.
4. The certification system in the Ukrainian association supports two levels of certification:

Certified Signor Program Manager (SMP).

The competence of the SMP establishes the limits of advanced system knowledge in the field of innovative projects and programs management. This requires a demonstration of ability and confirmation of practical experience in managing innovative programs.

Specialist in project management (EMS).

The competencies of the CMS are based on P2M knowledge and the experience and personal qualities of professionals aimed at achieving the mission of innovative projects.

For certification, the following criteria for assessing competence in P2M are used.

Criteria for Holistic Thinking:

Aiming for a Holistic Mission.
Ability to identify problems, their sources and develop solutions to overcome them.
Criteria of strategic thinking: strategic perception.
Ability to perceive the strategic elements of the program / project and arrange them according to priorities for proper application.
Criteria of integral thinking: continuous striving to achieve the results of the project / program.
Ability to prevent, assess and work with changes in the project environment to achieve its results.
Leadership Criteria: Leadership for Increasing Value Added and Innovation.
Ability to focus team efforts on innovation and breakthrough.
Planning Ability Criteria: Planning a successful project / program concept, structuring tasks, and monitoring progress.
Ability to plan project goals and objectives, organization of resources, implementation management.
Criteria for the ability to implement the project: the implementation of projects / programs according to the plan.
Ability to use a systematic approach, team building, project control and problem solving.
Coordination Ability Criteria: Harmonize a variety of actions to fully optimize a project / program.
Ability to balance between different working groups and stakeholders, getting rid of tensions, competition.
Criteria of relationship skills: social competence and psychological skills.
Ability to maintain high-performance team work through motivation and opportunities for self-realization.
Criteria aimed at achieving the result: initiative and commitment.
Ability to take initiative, support enthusiasm for achieving results through teamwork, implement a role model.
Criteria for self-realization: self-discipline, self-organization, self-realization.
Ability to self-organization and self-discipline, high standards of ethics, assuming responsibility, visionary
